If you have not previously visited a spa, you may not know what to expect. Guidelines below will assist you in receiving the maximum benefit from your visit.
How do I choose my treatment?
Just ask yourself, is my primary goal relaxation, spending time with a loved one, stress reduction, or to address a specific skin condition such as dry skin, enlarged pores or fine wrinkles? Once you identify what you want to achieve through your visit, we can easily assist you in making treatment suggestions. Email or call 417.243.1700 seven days a week and we’d be glad to answer any questions you have and assist you in planning a spa experience centered on your needs.
How do I schedule service(s)?
Make a spa appointment online or call 417.243.1700 and our Spa Concierge will gladly assist you. To confirm your appointment, please have a valid credit card or gift card ready to guarantee your spot. In order to help our team exceed your expectations, please communicate any special requests, therapist gender preferences or medical conditions at the time of reservation.
What happens if I am unable to keep my original appointment?
Because your spa experience is reserved especially for you, we kindly ask for advance notice if you need to change the date or time of your reservation. Please provide 24-hour notice for each service that needs to be changed or canceled. A 100% charge will be applied to your credit card or gift card used to secure the reservation for failure to follow this policy. No shows or changes made in less than 24 hours are subject to full payment via the gift card or credit card used to secure the reservation.
Do you provide appointment reminders?
Yes, appointment reminders are offered by phone, email and/or text messaging. Please communicate your preferences to our spa concierge or contact us with your email address and cell phone number to register for text and email communications now. Appointment confirmations are provided as a courtesy and may not be available on occasion. Each guest is ultimately responsible for arriving to scheduled appointments.
When should I arrive for my treatment(s)?
In order to receive the “full spa experience,” please arrive 30 minutes prior to your first spa treatment. This will allow time to unwind as well as get robed, complete client paperwork and enjoy our relaxation lounge with light snacks and beverages.
What if I arrive late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment. Your treatment will end on time so the next guest will not be delayed. Payment for the full treatment time is expected. Should you arrive too late to receive your service, advance payment is required and you will be asked to reschedule for a later time or date.
What should I wear?
Plush robes and slippers will be provided as well as a private locker for your personal belongings. For facial and massage treatments, please disrobe to your level of comfort. If you are receiving a body treatment, please disrobe completely and use the provided robe and slippers. Disposable undergarments will be provided in the treatment room and upon request. Please note during all treatments, the body is fully draped except the portion of your body that is being treated. The utmost discretion will be used to ensure privacy at all times.
What is your cell phone policy?
In order to preserve a relaxing environment at the Spa, we ask that you turn off your cell phone, email and other electronic devices while visiting the Spa.
Do you offer separate men’s and women’s areas?
Spa Facility Use includes private men’s and women’s locker rooms with rejuvenating steam rooms and dry saunas. We also offer a lounge area where you can relax and dine on items from our Spa Cuisine Menu. We have two co-ed whirlpools – one indoors and one outdoors overlooking Table Rock Lake.
Should I shave before my treatment?
Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatment, pedicure, or hair removal service. A minimum of 1/4 inch of hair growth is required for waxing. Men receiving facials should avoid shaving 4 hours prior to treatment.
Whom should I inform of special health issues?
In order to avoid disappointment, please notify the spa concierge at the time of reservation if you are currently under a doctor’s care or have any special medical considerations. This includes but is not limited to recent surgery, allergies, high blood pressure, cold sores (for facials), fungal infections, pregnancy, and cancer. Special health considerations should also be listed on the Guest Registration Form. Should you have a sudden illness, cold and/or fever within 24 hours of the appointment date, please be considerate of our team and guests by calling prior to your appointment and stay home until you’re well.
I’m pregnant. What services are available?
Spa Chateau offers a variety of spa treatments for expectant mothers. Estheticians recommend a facial to address hormonal changes in your skin; a foot massage to ease soreness and swelling; as well as a pedicure to keep your feet looking good while you may not be able to care for them yourself! Prenatal massage is a great way to manage back pain and sleeplessness. For the safety of mom and baby, please note company policy prohibits our team from performing massage during the first trimester of pregnancy or during any high-risk pregnancy. Baths, body wraps, hot tub, and steam room usage are not permitted during any stage of pregnancy.
Do you offer spa services for children?
Spa Chateau offers services for guests as young as 15 years old as long as they are continually accompanied by a parent or guardian and behave like ladies and gentlemen. Children younger than 18 are not allowed in the common area, locker rooms, whirlpools or relaxation lounge and are not permitted in the spa unless receiving a treatment. Minors will be scheduled with a therapist of the same gender and are asked to bring a bathing suit to wear during massage treatments. Signed parental consent is required for all guests under age 18. For more information on our Age Policy, please contact one of our spa front desk staff.
